Choose a starting point
Start with the problem.
Pick the concern closest to yours. See a suggested first scope, a useful deliverable and what that scope cannot establish. This is a conversation starter, not a binding proposal.
We do not trust the next release
Start with one candidate build and its highest-impact user journey. Agree acceptance criteria, safe accounts and the release owner before testing.
Expected evidence
A test plan, reproducible findings and a summary separating tested areas from remaining risk.
Scope limit
A short QA engagement does not cover every supported platform or make the release decision.

Describe the consequence
Tell us what happens when the current behaviour fails: a buyer cannot finish an inquiry, a customer sees another organisation’s record, a release waits on unexplained tests or a reviewer cannot trust an AI answer. The consequence determines where to begin more usefully than a list of preferred tools.
Set the boundaries before the estimate
For a first engagement, identify one product area, a candidate build, safe accounts, available evidence and the person who can decide the next step. State a fixed date and the areas that must be excluded. These boundaries make a proposal reviewable and prevent a small investigation from silently becoming a whole-system guarantee.
Bring existing constraints
Keep the current stack, supported clients, hosting limits, data residency and internal ownership visible. An established Playwright suite may need isolated fixtures rather than a replacement framework. A static site may need clearer content rather than a database. AI adoption may require a human process change before another model or integration.
Judge the first delivery
Agree which evidence will support the next decision and who will review it. A test summary should expose gaps; a security finding should be reproducible under authorisation; a pilot evaluation should include failure cases. If the evidence does not support expansion, the appropriate outcome can be a revised scope or a decision to stop.
